ASP Data Archive

The ASP raw data are written to 8mm digital tape. Most of the ASP data acquired by HAO scientists has been archived on DVD. Processed data and inversions are maintained on the NCAR Mass Storage System. Because these data have been surpassed in quality by Hinode/SP data, there will be little call for ASP data by the community in the near future. Thus, the ASP data are not served on the web, but it may be important in the longer term to maintain the ASP data for historical archives and solar cycle studies. For these reasons, the ASP data have been transferred to the more permanent DVD medium.
