Joe McInerney received his BS degree from the University of Missouri and his MS degree from the University of Arizona both in Atmospheric Science. Joe worked in middle atmosphere satellite remote sensing at NASA Langley Research Center. Then came to NCAR/ACD and worked for the University of Colorado in the same field. Joe worked a short time in operational weather forecast modeling at NCAR/RAL. Since last May, he has been working as an Associate Scientist I as part of the Atmoshpere, Ionosphere, and Magnetosphere (AIM) group on the extension of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model (WACCM) into the thermosphere/ionosphere and also becoming familiar with the TIME-GCM model and post processing.
