======================================================== ==== 4th June 2010. Start observing 7:30 local 13:30 UT, same target/configuration as 3rd June (NOAA 11076, near W 47 S 19) FIRS 6302 and 10830 rasters, plus 20 wavelength Ca II 854.2 IQUV/IBIS. FIRS slits and IBIS long axis oriented perpendicular to the horizon Very good seeing. Sun elevation about 17 degrees at start of first scan First raster centered on large, negative polarity follower spot. Finished around 13:54 UT. Second raster centered on largest + polarity leader spot. Started ~14:02 UT Finished around 14:26 UT. Sun elevation 24 deg at start. Seeing starting to degrade near 14:10 UT, becoming variable. Third raster (copy of first). Started 14:32 UT. Elev > 30deg, seeing good. Fourth raster (copy of second). Started 15:10 UT, elev 38deg seeing good. Fifth raster (copy of first). Started 15:39 or so. elev. 44deg. excellent seeing. Sixth raster (copy of second) started 16:06 UT, elev 50deg, still v good seeing. Seventh raster (copy of first) begun ca. 16:35 finished 16:59 seeing still good but getting slightly worse. Some moths in AO beam occasionally. Eighth raster (copy of second) started 17:01 UT, elev 61deg, seeing poor at beginning. Calibrations. IBIS 4th table position had to be re-started for polarization calibration.
