Solar-Stellar Coffee

When: Every Monday at 10:30am
Where: CG1-2139 (Captain Mary room)

Join our informal discussion of recent papers that are relevant to solar and stellar physics. Those who attend generally read 0 or 1 paper each week, but get the benefit of reading 5-10 papers through the brief summaries presented by others. The purpose is to generate awareness of new papers, to discuss their connections to past and current work, and to encourage a broader and more interdisciplinary view of solar physics.

If you read an interesting paper, post a link with the title/authors/abstract through the submission form, or just bring it with you to the discussion. Posted titles are announced by email every Friday morning. On Monday mornings, each person who has read a paper gives a brief overview and then leads an informal discussion of the paper's strengths, weaknesses, and broader significance.
