Welcome to 2012 Boulder Solar Day Workshop
Was held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Boulder Solar Day provides an overview of solar research being accomplished at local institutes with a relaxed setting that encourages informal interactions with both local and visiting researchers. The day's oral presentations are followed by a poster session in conjunction with a tasty reception to encourage continued discussions, and then concluded with a special Keynote Talk. This informal 1-day meeting brings together researchers from local institutes, including CoRA, CU, HAO, LASP, NCAR, NOAA, and SWRI, as well as visitors from NSO and other solar institutes to discuss current work on solar instrumentation, observations, and models.
Boulder Solar Day wais once again hosted by HAO in their Center Green Building 1 with sponsorship courtesy of CoRA, HAO, LASP, and SWRI. Participation was free and open to anyone interested in local solar research.
Who: All solar-heliospheric scientists and support staff are encouraged to attend and learn what fellow researchers are currently pursuing.
Boulder Solar Alliance (BSA): Boulder is fortunate to have one of the greatest concentrations of solar physics institutes in the world. To encourage communication among researchers from these institutes, we have formed the BSA with representation from CU/Jila, CU/LASP, NCAR/HAO, NESDIS/NGDC, NOAA-NWS/SWPC, NWRA/CoRA, and SwRI.
